Today’s Verse:
“The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.” –Hebrews 1:3
Today’s Encouragement:
Jesus Christ didn’t have a degree. He didn’t have a million followers on Instagram. He didn’t have a large bank account. Yet, He has the greatest of all time in every category known to man.
The Lord Jesus isn’t calling us to be famous, He is calling us to spread the Good News which leads to more people coming to a saving faith in Him. God’s desire is that “all people be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:4).
If we find our worth in fame, in money, in achievement… we will never, ever feel truly fulfilled. All of those things seem promising but ultimately let us down. Each of us has a Christ-shaped hole in our hearts that only Jesus can fill. Everything else comes up short.
So today, let’s give glory and honor to the Man who went the distance. To the One who traded His life for ours. To the true hero, the Son of God, the One and Only: Jesus Christ.
Today’s Prayer:
Father God, thank you for giving your Son Jesus for us. Thank you for giving us new life. Because of Jesus’ sacrifice, I am now restored to you. Thank you Jesus for going the distance and always doing what was right, even when tempted. We are eternally grateful. In your holy name Lord Jesus, amen.
